Den Boogerd is creating a cooperative food forest
and informs cooperatives and visitors via the Plantsoon platform
"Plantsoon provides visitors with information about the plants and fruits present and when they can be harvested."
Food, education and recreation
During the winter of '22-'23, Den Boogerd created a food forest of 0.7 ha in Zelem. They added berry, flower and herb beds and other types of fruit in shrubs, low and semi-standard varieties to its collection of apple trees. Together with the adjacent orchards of approximately 1.2 ha, the food forest is open for harvesting and education as well as limited recreational and therapeutic activities. Plantsoon provides visitors with information about the plants and fruits present and when they can be harvested.
