The QR code of the 'crooked birch' identifies and tells a story

The 'crooked birch' is a concept on this college campus in Ghent and an important part of the Ecoshelter XL project. All employees can scan a QR code that gives them more information about the tree. HOGENT also wants to turn the 'crooked birch' into a place of stories. They are currently calling on employees to share stories about the birch via the QR code.

HOGENT's Living Lab creates a green space for people and a new environment for animals with 'Ecoshelters'

HOGENT's Living Lab wants to transform open spaces on its campuses into publicly accessible green spaces. This is done in co-creation with students, employees and local residents. They are currently working on the 'Ecoshelter' project, which will be a space where there is respect for all of nature, from humans to the present fauna and flora. With the project they want to create more awareness around the value of the remaining trees present on the site.
