From soccer field to natural paradise
The old soccer field next to the Vogelzang day center and a private plot of land will be transformed together into a small natural paradise. There will be a food forest with fruit trees, a food forest border and a community garden. It will be a place where people come together to do ecological gardening and meet each other. But the nature spot is even more than that: the Vogelzang day care center uses it for learning and relaxation, as well as processing the ingredients they pick themselves. If expanded, the food forest will become a place for all residents to find peace and quiet or to have a nice conversation.
With Plantsoon as one of the green partners
It is a project of ‘Lekker eetbaar groen’, which involves several partners and residents. In addition, the idea of a community garden originated with the Klimaatmakers. Plantsoon is in the front row as a partner. In fact, the private plot is owned by our CEO, Roel Vanaelten. Roel thus brings Plantsoon to the place where it all began.
